By STEPHEN FORSHA The Times-Gazette COLUMBUS - Hillsboro senior distance runner Tyler Agenbroad wrapped up his high school career on Saturday afternoon, as he competed in the Division II state 800-meter run at Jesse Owens Stadium, located on the campus of Ohio State.
The recent Hillsboro graduate finished 14th, finishing with a time of 2:01.09 in a 16-man field.
At regionals in Byesville, Agenbroad finished fourth with a time of 2:00.06 to reach the OHSAA State Track and Field Championships.
At the SCOL meet, Agenbroad finished first to win the league championship with a time of 2:06.49 and in the district meet he finished with a time of 1:59.81 for a second place finish in Chillicothe.
Corey Leslie, of Sandusky Perkins, won the 800-meter run with a time of 1:50.77, earning the state meet record.
