Fayetteville-Perry senior Ryan Richmond put together a 31 point performance in Tuesday’s 76-53 win over the Williamsburg Wildcats.

Richmond knocked down at least one three-pointer in every quarter but the last, scoring 16 of his game total points in the third frame to help give the Rockets a 20 point lead.
Richmond dialed long distance in the first quarter and connected twice, sinking two shots from beyond the arc to begin his night of heated shooting. With Tyler Gambrel sinking a three-pointer in the first frame, the Rockets held a slight 14-13 lead entering the second.
Backed by solid shooting in the second, the Rockets expanded their lead to 31-25 before the half. Richmond rifled in his third three-pointer of the night in the second period, while teammate Ryan Rosselot buried three shots from inside the arc to help the Rockets outscore the Wildcats 17-12 in the frame.
Richmond’s best quarter of shooting came in the third, as he nailed six field goals, two more from three-point land, and connected on two-of-three attempts from the charity stripe. Rosselot came through with three more field goals in the third frame. Entering the fourth quarter the Rockets held a 56-36 advantage.
The Rockets (3-5, 1-3 SHL) once again outshot the Wildcats in the fourth period, racking up 20 points to Williamsburg’s 17. Gambrel and Tyler Guenther combined for eight of the Rockets’ 20 points in the final frame, while Richmond, Miah Call, Chad Evans and Zach Durham knocked down shots from two-point range.
Fayetteville junior Seth Erwin dished for six assists in Tuesday’s win over the Wildcats, and Rosselot rose for seven rebounds.
