FRANKFORT —After an absence of two years, the Miami Trace Lady Panthers are back in the District tournament following a 41-33 Sectional championship win over the Washington Lady Blue Lions Saturday at Adena High School outside Frankfort.
The Lady Panthers had won four Sectionals in a row prior to the last two seasons.
Despite a stubborn Washington team that outscored Miami Trace 21-17 in the second half.
CHILLICOTHE — For the second year in a row, the Miami Trace Panthers defeated the Circleville Tigers in the opening round of the Division II Sectional tournament at Southeastern High School.
Miami Trace had to come from behind, as they trailed 25-18 at the half.
At the end of the third quarter, Miami Trace was nipping at the heels of the Tigers, trailing by just two points, 34-32.
The Washington C.H. wrestling team competed at the Valley View tournament
Jan. 16, 2010, and finished third out of 12 teams.
Host Valley View and Dayton Oakwood finished tied for first. The team had two champions, three runners-up, and six other wrestlers place in the top six.
COLUMBUS, OHIO (January 25, 2010) - Nineteen central Ohio high school boys and girls basketball players were officially nominated today for inclusion on the 2010 McDonald’s All American High School Basketball teams. The 2010 McDonald’s All American High School Basketball Games will be played March 31 at Value City Arena in Columbus, Ohio.
“We are thrilled to have 19 central Ohio athletes nominated and are keeping our fingers crossed that several of them make the final roster so they can play in front of a hometown crowd,” said Matt Harper, local McDonald’s owner/operator and chair of the 2010 McDonald’s All American High School Basketball Games.
