Friday’s match-up of the Washington Blue Lions hosting the Circleville Tigers is not only a meeting of former South Central Ohio League rivals, it is a pairing of two teams coming off season-opening wins.

The Blue Lions took a 12-0 lead last week at Logan Elm, only to see the Braves come back and take a 13-12 advantage. In the end, the Blue Lions prevailed, 20-13.

Last week, the Tigers built a 33-14 lead at Miami Trace, only to see the Panthers fight back before running out of time in a 33-28 final.
