The East Clinton sixth grade boys traveling league team has finished its regular season with a record of 11-1. They were co-champs in the league. They also won the KTC tournament beating Cedarville, Blanchester and Yellow Springs. This is the third year these boys have won the KTC tournament. They will finish their season this weekend at the Mini March Madness tournament held at Wilmington College. Team members are, from left to right, front row, Zachary Blankenship, Austin Mercer, Cameron Stewart, Cole Jenkins and Griffin Campbell; back row, head coach Ernie Blankenship, Jordan Butler, Dusty Wright, Jonathon Blair, Derick Luttrell, Brian Lee Barnes, and assistant coach Dwayne Luttrell. The East Clinton seventh grade girls were defeated by Goshen, 40-13, in the Southern Buckeye Conference tournament last week. Goshen led at halftime, 19-10. Brooke Carpenter had four points and Kayley Bergstrom, Jessica Mack, Rebecca Lockhart and Sarah Lockhart had two points each. Jessica Dunn scored one point. BATAVIA — Caleb Santel scored 20 points Wednesday to lead Batavia to a 59-48 win over East Clinton in Southern Buckeye Conference boys basketball. The Astros finish the regular season with a 3-17 mark.
