GEORGETOWN — East Clinton had little trouble Monday with Georgetown in Southern Buckeye Conference volleyball action. The Lady Astros improve to 13-3 overall and 9-2 in the league with a 25-6, 25-9, 25-13 win over the Lady G-Men. “The girls played really well with everybody contributing,” EC head coach Tony Alloy said. “Georgetown struggled with its serve-receive, allowing our servers to rack in some aces and get us out to some big leads early. All in all it was a good night.”
East Clinton will play at Miami Trace tonight. Hannah Moore led EC with eight service aces among her 21 points. She also had four kills, three digs and 20 assists. Amanda Uhl had 10 kills at the net to go along with two aces, three digs and nine total points. Sam Henderson gave EC a 1-2 punch at the net with nine kills. Henderson also had six points, two blocks and one dig. Julia Scwarz had seven points, one ace and three kills. Tessa Witkemper had 11 points, seven aces, six kills and four digs. Stephanie Pendell added one ace, two blocks and four kills. Jessie Roberts had one kill, five digs and was 17 for 19 on serve receive.
