LEES CREEK — The East Clinton High School volleyball team picked up a four-game win over Fairfield to improve to 8-2 on the season Wednesday. EC won the first two games 25-20 and 25-18, lost the third 25-20 and won the fourth 25-18. “We accomplished our goal which was to win. We were extremely sloppy serving and serve-receiving. Our offense had a hard time getting into a groove. I hope all of the slppy play is out of our system before we play our two league matches on Saturday,” said EC head coach Tony Alloy. For the Lady Astros, Hannah Moore had 16 points, eight aces, 24 assists and one kill; Tessa Witkemper had two points, one ace and nine kills; Rachael Houck had nine points, three aces and five kills; Amanda Uhl had 15 points, seven aces and four kills; Kayla Boggs had nine points, three aces and nine kills; Lara Luttrell had four points, three aces, two blocks and six kills; and libero Jessie Roberts was 5-0 on serve receive. The team returns to action 10 a.m. Saturday at Bethel-Tate in a tri-match with New Richmond. Add as favourites (3) | Quote this article on your site | Views: 63
