The East Clinton High School boys golf team was defeated by Waynesville on Monday at Holly Hills.

Waynesville won the match with a 162 while the Astros shot a 211.

For the Astros, Dustin Cunningham led the team with a 49, followed by Dylan Eltzroth with a 51, Trevor Stevenson with a 53 and Gerald Catauro with a 58. Also playing for EC were Naveen Sharma with a 59, Nick Tissott with a 62 and Zak Hough.

Match medalist was Spencer Zate with a 39.

The Astros return to action today against Cedarville.
