*Overall outlook: ”We will be very young this year and we don't have much depth in a lot of positions, as we will probably only dress 12 varsity players. One of our strengths will be depth in pitching, and although we don't have a big number of players, we will have seven young men who have pitched in game situations. For us to be successful we need to get off to a fast start and get as many ball games in early as possible, so the young guys can gain experience and confidence before we get into league play. We will also need our seniors to step up and lead the younger guys. The Midwest Athletic League is always a very strong league and this year is no different, with many of the teams bringing back a lot of very good players on teams that were good last year,” St. John’s Head Coach Dan Metzger said.
