The White Sox girls U8 softball team sponsored by Parrish Trucking spent June 26 with the Chillicothe Paints. The team participated in the Field of Dreams Program where each girl paired up with a paints player of the same position. The girls were recognized and took the field for the National Anthem with the Paints. Before the game, the girls were able to hang out with Paints players in the dug out and collect autographs. They also met mascot Chief Crazy Horse.

Five Wilmington Hurricane Knothole teams place first and second in District 34 regular season standings and received team trophies at the District 34 trophy presentation held June 22 at Little Miami Junior High School. The teams include the first-place Wilmington Storm coached by Noel Beam (not shown); the first-place Hurricane coached by Nevin McCune; the first-place Hurricane coached by Roger Camp; the first-place Hurricane coached by Jason Davis; and the second-place Hurricane coached by Jody Drake.

The Clinton-Massie girls Fun-Damental and Skills mini basketball camp was held June 2 through 5 at Clinton-Massie High School with 35 girls in grades four through nine attending.

The Wilmington Hurricane B1 Knothole baseball team went 17-1 to win the regular season in District 34. The team scored 254 runs and gave up just 67. The Muskingum College softball team finished the season 41-12. The Ohio Athletic Conference champions, Muskingum went on to win the the regional title in Greensboro, N.J. and competed in the NCAA Division III World Series in Salem, Va. Paige Thompson, a 2006 East Clinton graduate, plays for the Muskies.
