Nick Vestal of Wilmington is unbeaten on the wrestling mat through the OAC regular season tournaments.
A member of Team Prodigy out of Springboro, Vestal, 11, will be competing in the 90-pound weight class at the state tournament Friday and Saturday at the Marion County Fairgrounds Coliseum.
Following the state tournament, Vestal will be competing in the 2010 Southern Nationals AAU Wrestling Super Regional in North Carolina.
The Clinton-Massie eighth grade girls basketball team completed its season with a 17-0 record.
The young Lady Falcons were 14-0 during the regular season and 3-0 in the Madison-Plains Winter Shoot-out. The team averaged 39 points per game on offense and gave up 24 points per game on defense.

COLUMBUS — Corby Running was more relieved than overjoyed following his second Division III state wrestling championship Saturday night at the Schottenstein Center on the Ohio State University campus.
Wilmington’s Quinten Rollins and Blanchester head coach Mark Short received top honors in the Associated Press Southwest District basketball awards announced Monday night.
Rollins was named the Division II Player of the year while Short earned Division III coach of the year honors.

COLUMBUS — Clinton-Massie’s Mike Stenger finished sixth in the Division III 285-pound weight class Saturday at the annual state wrestling tournament at the Schottenstein Center at Ohio State.
COLUMBUS — Clinton-Massie’s Myles Corcoran and C.J. Kline both finished sixth in events Saturday at the indoor track and field meet at French Fieldhouse on the Ohio State University campus.
Corcoran was sixth in the 3,200-meter run in 10:07 while Kline was sixth in the 400-meter dash in 53.9 seconds.
Corcoran has qualified to the state indoor track and field meet March 20 at Akron University in both the 1,600-meter run (4:34, ranked ninth) and the 3,200-meter run (10:00.02, ranked 14th).
