The weather held out just long enough for the completion of Tuesday night games in the Blanchester Summer League. Not five minutes after the completion of play, the rain began to fall, according to league official Matt Sexton.
Two teams remained unbeaten on the season after sweeping doubleheaders Tuesday night. Eastern Brown downed East Clinton 8-0 in the opener and 6-3 in the nightcap to go to 4-0 overall.
Also at 4-0 is Batavia, following 18-3 and 5-1 wins over Fayetteville. The nightcap was the first game in the league’s illustrious two-week history to be played to full seven-inning completion.
