The Blanchester eighth grade girls basketball team won the Southern Buckeye Conference North Division championship this season. The young Lady Cats were 10-8 overall and were defeated by New Richmond, 30-22, in the SBC North/South championship game. In that game, Marie Lawson led Blanchester with seven points. Sam Parker scored six and Sydney Doughman put through four points. Courtney Lucas contributed three points and Alana Florea chipped in with two points.
