BLANCHESTER — The Blanchester High School volleyball team was defeated by Williamsburg in Southern Buckeye Conference action on Tuesday.
WHS won by scores of 25-15, 25-18 and 25-23. For the Lady Wildcats, Becca Brooks had seven points, three aces and five assists; Jenna Weisflock had six points, one ace, four kills and six digs; Carly Crawford had five points, two aces and four kills; Destinee Workman had four points and one ace; Whitney Skidmore had three points and one ace; Zoe Ballinger had one point and three kills; Kelsey Wilson had five assists; and Erin Bogan had four kills. “Both JV and varsity teams played well at times. Williamsburg just had some hard hitters on both of their teams that were difficult to adjust to,” said BHS head coach Hannah Hertlein. In JV action, BHS won the first game 25-19, lost the second 25-17 and lost the third 25-18. Laura Morrow had 10 points with four aces and nine digs. Also, Hannah Tudor had six kills.
