CINCINNATI — The Blanchester High School tennis team fiished its season Wednesday at its Cincinnati sectional tournament. The BHS doubles teams each picked up wins in the first round, but lost in the second round. “All in all, I thought we had a very good day. Katie Fawley played a very good singles player from McNicholas and played well. Tabitha Kirby competed well in her first singles match,” said BHS head coach Matt Sexton. “Sarah Cioca and Lindsay Martin (first doubles) played two great matches in their first two rounds. They got off to a slow start in the quarterfinal match and it cost them. They could have beaten that team but they got too far behind too quickly to rebound. Karen Wilson and Lendsey Smith (second doubles) played their best tennis of the season.”
