BLANCHESTER — Unable to hold a 3-1 lead, the Blanchester girls soccer team tied Felicity, 3-3, Tuesday night in Southern Buckeye Conference action at Barbour Memorial Field. “The Blan girls seemed off and very emotional as it was Parents Night,” said BHS coach Gary Monds. “This senior class, like most, don’t want this to end and emotions were running high.” Maria Monds had two goals and an assist. Tori Richardson scored the third goal for the Lady Wildcats with approximately 18 minutes to play and gave BHS a two-goal advantage.
“We just couldn’t seem to get it together for the next 18 minutes of play,” Monds said. The match was tied at 1-1 at halftime. Blanchester will host Batavia 7 p.m. Thursday with a possible league title on the line. Add as favourites (28) | Quote this article on your site | Views: 1007
