BLANCHESTER — The Blanchester boys soccer team dropped a 5-4 decision Thursday to Georgetown in a Southern Buckeye Conference match at Barbour Memorial Field. “I am extremely proud of the way my boys played tonight,” said BHS coach Troy Ballinger. “We had a tough loss early in the week and we practiced hard to correct our mistakes. We looked and played like a great team tonight.” Blanchester had a goal disallowed, according to Ballinger. Zach Baker scored what appeared to be a go-ahead goal but, Ballinger said, “the goal was quickly overturned by the officials who claim the keeper had possession of the ball when it was struck by Baker.” Be first to comment this article | Add as favourites (5) | Quote this article on your site | Views: 81 |

BLANCHESTER — Little Miami scored seven second half goals Monday en route to an 11-0 win over Blanchester in a boys soccer game at Barbour Memorial Field. “We have a very young squad this year and I couldn’t be happier with how we performed for our first outing,” BHS head coach Troy Ballinger said. “The score definitely doesn’t reflect the growth we have achieved since we started practicing this season.” After being down by four goals in the first half, Blanchester had a rough time recuperating with such low numbers, Ballinger said.
