BLANCHESTER — The Blanchester High School boys soccer team remains undefeated following a 6-3 win over Western Brown in Southern Buckeye Conference action on Tuesday.
BHS is 5-0-1 on the season and 3-0-1 in the SBC. The Wildcats got a hat trick from Bryson Lewis, and one goal each from Kyle Hamilton, Josh Richmond and Kyle Slocum. Assists came from Hamilton, Greg Lawson and Alan Reeder. Goalkeeper Randall Davidson had 10 saves in the win. “In the first half we were very sluggish. We started passing the ball a lot better and working it up the backfield and to the front. It was a lot more controlled,” said BHS head coach Troy Ballinger. “We had Andrew Freeman stepped up on defense clearing the ball and working well back there. He stepped to the ball. Basically, Greg Lawson and Ty King were playing the ball very well.” The team returns to action 7 p.m. Thursday when it hosts CNE.
