BLANCHESTER — The Blanchester High School boys soccer team picked up a 3-2 win over Hillsboro on Thursday.
The Wildcats are now 2-0 on the season. Blanchester’s main offensive threat of the night came from captain Josh Richmond who scored all three of their goals. Bryson Lewis and Ty King would each pick up an assist. “The offense once again played very well as a unit. Defensively, Randall Davidson had his best showing of the year by stopping 18 out of 20 shots blasted his way,” said BHS head coach Troy Ballinger. “I don’t know how he came up with some of those, but they were big. Greg Lawson, Drew Freeman, Ty King and Travis Speakman controlled the back end of the field extremely well.” The Wildcats will return to action 7 p.m. Tuesday at Felicity.
