BATAVIA — The Blanchester High School boys soccer team battled defending Southern Buckeye Conference champion Batavia to a 4-4 tie on Thursday.
Blan is now 3-0-1 on the season and 1-0-1 in league play. Scoring for the Wildcats were senior captain Josh Richmond and junior captain Bryson Lewis — each netting two goals.Senior Ty King and freshman Jake Parker each earned an assist. “We came out firing early on putting us up but Batavia didn’t back down. I’ve never seen my boys play with that much desire and drive,” said BHS head coach Troy Ballinger. For the Wildcats, senior captain goalkeeper Randall Davidson saved 22 shots on goal.
