BLANCHESTER — With at least eight players scoring six points, Blanchester won its fifth straight game Monday, beating St. Bernard, 70-23, in a non-league girls basketball game at the BHS gym. Blanchester is 12-6 on the year and has won 10 of its last 11 games. “We just tried to keep them focused and playing hard on defense,” said BHS head coach Ron Duncan. “We wanted to make sure we executed our offense and were patient in our offense and I’d say pretty much we were focused on offense.”
Chelsea Wisniewski led Blanchester with 12 points but eight player scored and all eight had at least six points. “It just exemplifies the way they’ve played all year,” said Duncan. “They’re unselfish. They find the person that’s open and get the ball to them.” SUMMARY SB 5 5 6 7 — 23 BHS 22 16 15 17 — 70 ST.
