OWENSVILLE — The Blanchester High School girls basketball team defeated Clermont Northeastern 42-21 in Southern Buckeye Conference action on Saturday behind a double-double by Jennifer Reinair. Rineair paced the team with 10 points, 14 rebounds, three steals and two blocks. “We struggled in the first quarter offensively and did not execute very well, but played well enough on the defensive end to keep the game close,” said BHS head coach Jason Gray. “In the second quarter we did a better job on the offensive end and were able to extend our lead. “In the second half we came out and played good defense and controlled the game, but we struggled on the offensive end of the court. We need to improve our offensive execution and cut down our turnovers to be able to win our upcoming games.” Also for the Lady Wildcats, Jenna Weisflock had 10 rebounds, Chelsea Wisniewski had seven rebounds, three assists and three steals and Emily McCollister had five assists and two blocks. The Lady ’Cats return to action Thursday at Goshen in SBC action. SUMMARY BHS 9 14 9 10 — 42 CNE 7 1 5 8 — 21 Blanchester (3-5, 3-3 SBAAC) - Watkins 2 0 6, J.
