BATAVIA — A banged-up Blanchester squad fell short of Batavia Friday night, 64-54, in a Southern Buckeye Conference basketball game.

The Wildcats, under first-year head coach Mark Short, slip to 0-3 on the year. Batavia is 2-1. This was the first leagu game for both teams.

“We still have a lot of work to do defensively,” Short said. “We’re going to have to make some adjustments.”
