McClain comes back to down Blan baseball PDF Print E-mail
Tuesday, 06 May 2008

The Blanchester High School baseball team lost to Greenefield McClain on Tuesday, 10-7.

“We had a 7-2 lead after two innings, then we just flat quit,” said Blanchester head coach Eddie Pagett. “We just didn’t play smart baseball after that second inning. The first two innings, we looked like a good team, and the last five we looked like a bad team.”

Nathan Molen suffered the loss on the mound for the Wildcats in his first varsity appearance.

Hitting leaders for Blanchester were Josh Richmond, two for five with two RBI, and Jacob Burchwell, who had one hit with 2 RBI.

Blanchester drops to 7-17 overall.

Today, the Wildcats will play East Clinton at home beginning at 4:30 p.m.
