Carrying on that work ethic and returning for the Archers will be 4-year letter winner and 2-year Van Wert Legion starter Kyle Proxmire.  Senior players, 3-year lettermen Anthony Smith and Zach Carr, newcomer Jesse Derck and two-spring sport athlete Jared Delong will provide the field leadership, along with past letter-winners Junior Mark Parisot and Sophomore Bryson North. This group will be expected to carry the load for the Archers. There are several very promising underclassmen competing for varsity positions.

"Antwerp will face a very tough GMC crowd that includes favorite Fairview, who features one of Ohio’s top baseball prospects in Ryan Radcliff. Tinora, Hicksville and Ayersville should also compete for the conference title. Edgerton plays a tough schedule and Holgate (who made a nice run in ACME last summer) may cause some real surprises. Wayne Trace is Antwerp’s cross-county rival. Rivals always create problems for one another which should make all conference games interesting and challenging for the Archers. Consistent team play and senior leadership are key factors for Antwerp, as we kick off the season against Edon," Antwerp Coach Tim Peffley said.
