Friday, 02 May 2008

DELPHOS -- Jefferson’s annual Alumni Baseball Game — to raise funds for the ACME and junior ACME teams — has been set for June 1. Warm-ups begin at 12:00 noon and the game at 1:00 p.m. Live pitching will be allowed for the first three innings; innings 4-9 will use a machine. The concession stand will sell brats and hamburgers, along with its usual fare. There is a charge to play. A T-shirt is also available for an additional cost. A Home Run Derby (with an entry fee) begins at 11:30 a.m. with a slow speed on the machine and a closer-than-normal fence. Contact Doug Geary (567-204-1524) to sign up and/or order a T-shirt.  All orders will need to be in by May 23.
