DELPHOS – Taylor Hesseling has been added to the 2009 Bluffton University football team by head coach Tyson Veidt. Hesseling, a 2009 Jefferson graduate, started playing football in his eighth-grade year at Jefferson. He played mostly defensive tackle at Jefferson but will be switched to the offensive line. He chose Bluffton over Hanover College (Madison, Ind.) not only for the gridiron program but the college’s academic programs: he intends on double-majoring in history and religion. His other activities will include Fellowship of Christian Athletes (FCA), Brothers and Sisters In Christ (BASIC), Habitat for Humanity and Drama. He is the son of Greg and Brenda Hesseling and grandson of Rita C. Clapp and Margaret (Peggy) Long, as well as the late Ervin Hesseling and Donald Long.
